Christmas Appetizer Recipe



Today I am going to share one of my all time favorite Christmas party recipes.  I have thought long and hard about this because, although it is not the secret fudge recipe, I don’t like to give away recipes.  What if I tell everyone all my recipes and they discover they can make all the good stuff at home and no one ever comes to another party?  I would be devastated.

Stop laughing at the image of me devastated. I am not kidding.

Ok fine, so here it is Judson’s top secret appetizer recipe. 
AKA Dump anything on cream cheese.

  1.  Open a 8oz brick of cream cheese.
  2. Place on a plate.* 
  3. Dump a jar of something on it.**
  4. Serve with crackers.

*Fancy people will use a holiday plate or at least a pretty plate for step 2
.
**The jar really could be anything.  Hot pepper jelly, candied jalapenos, cranberry salsa, mango chutney, pickapeppa sauce, I don’t care just pick something. Well not tuna, that sounds gross.  Ok, let’s amend that.  Not any kind of jarred or canned meat.  The thought of that is making me nauseated.

La La La.  The secret is out.  With culinary skills like mine why don’t I have a cookbook deal?  Honestly I ask myself that question all the time.
